Mental Health Professionals
Chemical Health - Brainerd, Aitkin, and Wadena, MN

Northern Pines Mental Health Center is seeking Mental Health Professionals to join our Chemical Health team. We are seeking two Full-time positions to work in our Brainerd, Aitkin, and Wadena, MN offices. General duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive substance abuse assessments considering the relationship between substance use and mental health
  • Assesses, track, and document individual’s stages of change readiness and stages of treatment
  • Use outreach and motivational interviewing techniques to work with individuals in early stages of change readiness
  • Facilitate groups and other community supports
  • Use cognitive behavioral approaches and relapse prevention to work with beneficiaries in later stages of change readiness and ensure that the team’s treatment approaches are consistent with individual’s stages of change readiness
  • Facilitate the Person Centered Planning process for individuals as assigned
  • Serve as a consultant and educator to fellow team members on the topic of integrated dual disorder treatment (IDDT) and motivational interviewing
  • Provide structured face-to-face scheduled therapeutic interventions to provide support and guidance in all areas of functional domains: adaptive, communication, personal care, domestic, psychosocial, problem solving, etc. in preventing, overcoming, or managing the individual's level of functioning and enhancing his/her ability to remain in the community
  • Participate in peer review
  • Ensure incident reports are prepared and submitted on time
  • Prepare and present documentation for utilization review

Qualified candidates will have: A Master’s Degree in the behavioral sciences; Independent licensure (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, LP); Excellent written (computer based) and verbal skills; Electronic Records Compliance; A valid Driver’s License.
