Clinical Supervisor
Crisis Stabilization

Northern Pines Mental Health Center is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our Crisis Stabilization team. This Full-time position will primarily work at our Safe Harbor facility in Brainerd, MN. The purpose of this position is to provider clinical supervision to crisis stabilization services staff as well as clinical services to crisis stabilization services consumers. The clinical supervisor is responsible for managing operations to ensure safe and therapeutic environment for clients. Essential functions will include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise the development, modification, and implementation of recipients’ Individualized Treatment Plans and the service components provided by the program
  • Provide and document supervision to crisis stabilization employees. This will include responsibility for evaluating treatment services required under variance
  • Complete assessments as necessary including review of clinical documentation received by the facility
  • Review and sign all clinical documentation including treatment plans of clients at Safe Harbor
  • Facilitate regular case reviews weekly and provide clinical direction for treatment planning and interventions
  • Facilitate the clinical portion of the staff meeting weekly, also provides training for Safe Harbor employees to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on each consumer’s diagnosis, individual treatment plan, and response to treatment
  • Facilitate in person at least one team meeting per calendar week and maintain documentation of weekly meetings including those in attendance. Maintain documentation of ancillary meetings for those not in attendance at weekly meetings including those in attendance at ancillary meetings.
  • Screen and admit all consumers considering the Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) Admission Criteria as outlined by the MN Department of Human Services
  • Assure staff on all shifts exchange information necessary to carry out consumers’ individual treatment plans, respond to consumers’ recovery goals, and inform updates and revisions to consumers’ individual treatment plans and individual abuse prevention plan
  • Make arrangements for discharge and complete a discharge summary as required when a consumer meets program goals, is no longer eligible for services, or needs cannot be met by provider. When appropriate, will coordinate discharge planning with consumer, consumer case manager, and consumer family as requested by consumer
This position may be filled by a mental health professional licensed in Minnesota (i.e. LICSW, LMFT, LP, Psychiatric Nurse, LPCC) who is certified by the State of Minnesota and respective licensing board to provide clinical supervision to employees. Qualified candidates will have current First Aid and CPR certification along with a valid driver’s license. Standard hours of this position include daytime, weekday hours. On-site presence will be required during this time. Due to the 24/7 crisis nature of this position, on-site and on-call hours may be required including nights and weekends.
