I am a Licensed, Independent Clinical Social Worker who has worked with Northern Pines Mental Health Center since June of 2019. I have worked in the CTSS division providing School-Linked Mental Health services to various school districts within Todd County. I’ve also helped provide in-home individual and family therapy to the needs of Todd County.
In January of 2024 I also acquired the role of Clinical Supervisor for the Targeted Mental Health Case Management division and provide clinical supervision to in-home skills practitioners.
Trained in: Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Basic Trained Certification, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acute Trauma Incident Protocol (A-TIP), DC:0-5 Trained (Birth-5 services).
Works with clients ages: 0-21 typically but interact with adults through family therapy as well.
As a therapist, I really enjoy that I get to work with such a diverse group of individuals who each carry their own values, stories, and goals. As I primarily work with children and adolescents, getting to observe and support them as they grow through historical and ongoing challenges is especially rewarding as they get future chances of success that they otherwise may not have felt they could obtain. I also really enjoy being able to collaborate with school districts, counties, and communities through facilitating various training or educational opportunities focused on reducing the stigmatization of mental health and providing tangible, relevant resources.
I love how considerate and dedicated my leadership team is to each individual person’s needs. I feel as though my actions have an impact and that they are recognized by my leadership. I appreciate how collaborative and integrated our care at Northern Pines can be based on the wide variety of services we provide. I also appreciate the flexibility that CTSS provides me with in the summer months regarding working schedules, taking time off, and meeting the needs of the clients throughout the summer months even when school is not in session.
When I am not at work you can find me hiking, hunting, or fishing. I also enjoy gardening in the summer months and skiing in the winter months. If I cannot be outdoors, you can typically find me enjoying a good book, a good movie, or exploring new creative avenues in the kitchen through cooking, baking, grilling, or smoking foods.
