Rebecca Clarkin, RN

Position: CCBHC – Behavioral Health Care Coordination

Hired: 2012

Location: Little Falls

My journey with Northern Pines began in August of 2012 as a Mental Health Case Manager for Northern Crow Wing and Cass counties. This foundational experience afforded me a deep understanding of community mental health needs and laid the groundwork for future roles.

I am currently embedded at St. Gabriel’s Health in Little Falls, where I serve clients in both the clinic and hospital settings.

In my capacity as a Registered Nurse and Mental Health Practitioner, I have participated in numerous training programs focusing on essential areas within mental health, such as crisis intervention and motivational interviewing. These trainings have enhanced my ability to provide comprehensive care including coaching, crisis intervention, care coordination, and resource and referral to our clients, who range anywhere between 4 years old to geriatrics.

What truly motivates me in my role as a Behavioral Health Care Coordinator is the ability to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. As an RN, I like to ‘fix things.’  This position allows me to initiate both short and long-term interventions and make an immediate difference in the outlook of our clients.

Northern Pines is committed to understanding and addressing the diverse needs of every individual we have the privilege to serve and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such meaningful work. Beyond providing services,  we strive to foster a truly positive and lasting impact on the well-being of our entire community.

In my free time, I love to fish, both in the summer and in the winter, and spend time with my family.  I am also a hobbyist – I create lamps, vases, and florals using native Minnesota woods and wildflowers, which I then showcase and sell at area craft shows.
