Some of my favorite parts of being a therapist are when kids are able to use what we’ve discussed or practiced in therapy outside of the office to improve their lives, being with a kid as they have an insight in to themselves to help them better understand and make changes to be happier and healthier, getting to see kids become better versions of themselves and discover who they are underneath their masks, being a part of a child’s healing journey, getting to see the humor and creativity that kids don’t always share with others, and being with them as they celebrate their successes.
My position at Northern Pines has offered me so many positive experiences including understanding from leadership, opportunities for growth and further training, the support of my team, and being able to provide supervision to other staff on their paths to licensure.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside as much as possible, and reading, especially a good fantasy novel.
